We all know hotel accommodations are very pricey nowadays. Dining out also can costs a lot. However, owning an RV or motorhome can slash all those expenses to a minimum.

The only problem comes when a mechanical breakdown happens especially when the traveler or vacationer is in the middle of the wilderness. Most often than not it leaves them frustrated for several hours, worst if its days. But, this problem is manageable with the right RV roadside assistance plan of Good Sam.

This service allows travelers to enjoy their vacation without having to worry of any repair or towing need. They will take charge of the motorhome towing, travel trailer and fifth wheel towing needs so travelers can get back on the road to fun and freedom.

I must say that carelessness is the number one reason for a passport being lost, stolen, or damaged. So here are some tips to prevent this while you are on travel.

Always keep your passport in a safe place – never leave your passport in your baggage, backpack, purse, car, hotel room, or anywhere else! When you must carry your passport, keep it in a money belt or inside coat pocket. Upon arrival at the hotel, put your passport in the hotel safe.

Never lay your passport down anywhere – passports placed on a counter, phone booth or table can be easily forgotten or stolen. Practice the habit of immediately putting your passport away after using it.

If you travel as a family or as part of a group, don’t let one person carry all the passports – the odds are much greater for one person carrying all the passports to lose them or have them stolen than for all the passports to be stolen or lost if each individual owner carries them.

Never let anyone leave your presence with your passport – when you’re checking in at the airport, passing through customs, exchanging currency, or doing anything else that requires you to show your passport, never allow the person examining your passport to leave your presence. If the person starts to leave, call their attention and request to accompany them.

Immediately report the loss of your passport – If you are careful and follow the tips above, you shouldn’t have any problem with the loss of your passport. If it does occur though, immediately notify the local police and then proceed to the nearest Embassy or Consulate. Take the copy of your passport and extra photos with you. You will be issued a temporary passport that you can replace upon returning to your country.

Then you must plan also to get stuck at the airport. With the way the weather is working, things aren’t looking good for a smooth flight to the middle of snow country. But there are things you can do to help relieve the stress you know is coming. For example, several stress reduction experts say simple things, such as making sure you get enough sleep the night before your flight, could improve your stress response the next day in the midst of a delay. Well, here are some good suggestions you might consider:

Plan on getting delayed: Anticipating the challenges that may develop when you’re facing a major negative event will help organize your response. Some experts suggest bringing enough books to read, making sure the laptop is charged, distracting the kids with a portable video game, or staying in touch with family and friends via cell phone.

Expand your toolbox of coping skills: Some people appear less stressed because they have better coping skills. In addition, several experts recommend using headphones to reduce noise stress.

Seek out comfortable seating: Stuffy heat and too many strangers nearby could activate stress responses in your body, then if you are going to have to wait for a long time try to find an area that is not hot and overly crowded.

Get moving: Exercise is one of the best things people can do to reduce the physiological response to stress you may benefit from periodically walking up and down the concourse or just moving around.

Make an escape: Leave the airport during long delays, if you have the financial means and are going to be stuck for more than a day, try to get out of the airport and hang out in town. This is the ultimate way to beat airport stress and can sometimes turn a trip-wrecker into a novel vacation.

Get a massage: Those airport massage stations are there for a reason … massage reduces the body’s stress response.

Beware the bar: Lower levels of alcohol can be a relaxant, but if you stay too long at the bar, you’re likely to create more problems. Refrain from overdoing alcohol because it actually is likely to make things worse.

However, you medical condition that makes you think about how best to travel without stress. All you have to do is discuss your problem with your doctor, who can liaise with the medical officer of the airline. Airlines can usually very accommodating if given advance notice of medical concerns. For a really safe travel here are other measures you must take.

You should have an adequate supply of your medications with you. Split them between your check-in and hand-carried luggage to make sure you have more than enough within reach. Before your trip, plan how you can replenish your medical supplies while you are in transit. Always carry a letter from your doctor listing your medications, including doses and non-brand names. Leaving it behind can put you in great danger.

Basically, this island-province of Camiguin is a pear-shaped volcanic island in the northern tip of Mindanao. It is approximately 90 kilometers north of the City of Cagayan de Oro. It is bounded to the north by Bohol Sea, to the west by Macajalar Bay, to the southeast by Gingoog Bay and to the east by Butuan Bay. This is also the smallest province in Northern Mindanao, with its land area pegged at 29,187 hectares. It is composed of five towns, namely, Mambajao – the capital town, Mahinog, Guinsiliban, Sagay and Catarman. The island plays host to seven volcanoes, including the still-active Mount Hibok-Hibok. According to the National Statistics Office, Camiguin has a total population of 74,232 persons, making the province the second smallest in the Philippines in terms of population.

The Camiguin culture is a mixture of both Boholano and Cebuano culture. It is very colorful and creative. The people are deeply religious, hospitable and friendly. Cebuano is the major dialect in the Province. However, in the towns of Sagay and Guinsiliban, where most of the indigenous tribes reside, the Kinamiguin dialect is still spoken. Kinamiguin is derived from the Manobo dialect with some mixture of Boholano.

The following guidelines should help you stay out of trouble.

Watch what you eat. In rural regions, avoid leafy raw vegetables, salads, cold cuts, and anything containing dairy products. Make sure meat, poultry and seafood are cooked thoroughly and served hot. Avoid raw fruit unless you’ve peeled it yourself. And don’t buy food from street vendors.
Don’t get bitten. In buggy regions keep your arms and legs covered. Use an insect repellent that contains no more than 30 percent deet. Avoid using perfumes since it may attract insects.
Find a competent doctor. Call a hospital that’s affiliated with a medical school. Or contact your embassy. In some regions, ask the hotel or the local police to refer to a reliable physician,
These days, with proper planning and precautions, most people can travel without undue health worries, to even the most exotic places of the world.

The northwest side, near the lighthouse, sports a craggy, rocky coastline. Coconut trees are everywhere with secluded covers all around. Life is simple here. There are no roads, no cars, and no traffic. Everyone knows everyone else. Fishing is the main livelihood, and when the tide is low, it is not rare to see little boys just walking a few meters from the beach to catch a fish or two for dinner.

Tourist were brought to the island because of thresher sharks. In the early 90s divers discovered the beauty of Malapascua under the sea. Thresher sharks, solitary creatures with long tails that could account for up to a third of their bodies, where seen with great frequency around Monad Shoal. The thresher is one of the few shark species that could jump out of the water like dolphins and could grow for up to 20 feet. And Malapascua, is one of the few places in the world where they are seen with regularity.

Just a couple of meters down the ocean are full grown puffer, butterfly fishes, lionfishes, and frogfishes. Dive in the afternoon and come face to face with a manta; at night, swim with mandarin fishes and seahorses by the lighthouse. Hammerhead sharks have also been seen at Kimud Shoal and white tip reefs in Gato Island.

But one need not be a diver to enjoy Malapascua. Soak under the sun, sleep on a hammock. Snorkel for visual delights; hike up craggy hills for a glimpse of a most fantastic sunset. Read book quietly by the shade; drink yourself to dizziness. Malapascua offers the kind of heaven where one can revel in the joys of suspended animation. And in the evenings, because there is no electricity, the island is blanketed by darkness with only the moo, the stars and a couple of oil lamps to light the lonely wanderer’s way.

The following guidelines should help you stay out of trouble.

Bring Supplies. Potentially useful items include insect repellent, sunblock, adhesive bandages and tape, an elastic bandage, a thermometer, water-purifying chemical or device, and an extra pair of eyeglasses.
Minimize Jet Lag. Travelling across time zones can disrupt your body’s biological rhythm. This can produce daytime fatigue, night time insomnia, headache, and disorientation, which can predispose you to health problems. Set your watch to destination time as soon as you board the plane. Once you’ve arrived, don’t stay inside and don’t take catnaps. Get outdoors into the daylight. Keep a light schedule in the first few days to allow for an adjustment period.
Watch what you drink. In rural areas, even in some parts of Europe, only beer, wine, and canned bottled carbonated beverages are safe to drink. Avoid ice cubes. If you must drink or even brush your teeth with suspect water, boil or purify it.

The following guidelines should help you stay out of trouble.

Check your insurance. Some policies cover emergency medical services provided abroad. Or you may take a special insurance that will only cover you for the duration of your trip.
Get vaccinated. Talk to your doctor whether you’ll need to schedule any immunization or booster shots before you travel.
Bring Medical Information. Be sure to pack spare copies of all your medication and corrective-lens prescriptions, a brief medical record, and if relevant, a copy of the results of important tests, such as your EKG, MRI and laboratory findings.
Bring Medications. If you’re on long-term medication for chronic illness, be sure to bring along enough to last the full trip. In addition, consider packing the following drugs: a non-prescription pain reliever, hydrocortisone (1%) cream for rashes and stings, and loperamide for mild diarrhea. If there’s any chance of developing “traveler’s diarrhea”, a more serious affliction, ask your doctor about taking bismuth subsalycilate as preventive therapy, and ask for a diarrhea-fighting antibiotic in case that fails.
This is all for now, check out for more of this tips.
