For almost a month now, one of our roommates continually talks about his intentions of purchasing a laptop. Actually, he is the only one other than me who doesn’t have a machine. best way to sweep the grass away

It’s been quite windy today, so I’ll expect to see lots of leaves in the yard. But, that doesn’t mean I have the time to sweep them out because I’m just too busy for a Friday. I’ll probably get to it on Sunday, which also means accumulation to great amount. If we only have shindaiwa leaf blower especially those with vacuum, I’m sure that task is easier to deal with. Unfortunately, we don’t so I have no other choice, but to sweep the grass away.

Hmmm, I wonder how much it would cost me if I opt to buy one. I have to check some rates and see if I can afford it or not. I wish it doesn’t cost much so I won’t hurt my budget. If it doesn’t suit my resources, then I have no choice, but to drop the idea for now.

I have to admit, I feel disappointed after realizing it’s not a good idea to remove the blinds in our room. We decided to get rid of it because of cleaning difficulties. We failed to remember the reason we install one some years ago – to control the amount of sunlight that enters the room especially during the summer months. Now, the room feels so uncomfortable during noon time down to five in the afternoon. For that matter, it’s time for us to purchase a new window covering.

I read somewhere on the web before that plantation shutters are good alternative. It is a solid and stable window covering usually consisting of a frame of vertical stiles and horizontal rails. It can be used to control the amount of sunlight that enters a room, to provide privacy, to protect against weather and to enhance the aesthetics of a building.

One of the things I like about it is that I can clean it just like my window because it’s solid and stable, unlike my vinyl window blinds. I don’t have to worry over damaging it while cleaning. So, it’s indeed a good option for our window need.

Check to see how much damage there is to the cabinets. If there is only minor damage, such as dark stains around the door handles, just clean these areas. Use a synthetic steel wool pad because it won’t hurt your fingers or get caught on the wood grain.
Dip the pad in paint thinner, mineral spirits, or turpentine, and scrub the stains. Then lightly scrub the whole surface, cleaning and dulling it so the new finish will stick.
Once you’ve cleaned the surface and removed the dark stains, wipe on an oil-based, clear finish such as Minwax. All clear finishes are low-odor and most are available in either glossy or satin finish. Apply several coats for a thicker finish.
If you find you need to redo more than just a few stained areas, use a chemical refinisher – a strong solvent cleaner that dissolves and removes part of the old varnish. Ask an expert at your local paint store to suggest a good quality refinisher.
When you’re using the chemical refinisher, work in small areas, and scrub the finish with a synthetic steel wool pad. The chemical refinisher will remove the finish and even out the color of the wood and stain. Rinse the pad in more refinisher when it gets clogged with dirty finish.
The cabinet’s surface should be smooth and evenly colored after you’ve scrubbed the whole surface. If you find it isn’t, just wipe the entire cabinet in long, overlapping strokes with clean refinisher and clean steel wool in long, overlapping strokes. Most of the stain color will remain, and the wood will be very smooth.

thinking of other way to have electricity

Even if there are heavy rains these past few days, we still experience brown out. The electric company says the water in the dam isn’t enough to supply the electricity yet. The rains they expect don’t drop in the dam area. That is the reason we still have rotating brown outs. Rotating brown outs is the only way they can think in order to sustain until the dam water rises.

Oh well, I guess we can’t do anything about it. But, there is a way to continually have electricity running and that is the use of generators. I’m thinking about purchasing honda generators eu3000is especially if there is no good news regarding the situation. I specifically choose the EU models as it is incredibly quiet, fuel efficient, lightweight and easy to transport. It might cost me some bucks, but it is a great investment as I don’t have to suffer darkness. And, my appliances can continue running until the electricity comes back.

It’s really a pain not to have electricity. It makes me feel I’m transported to the old era where the only means of light is fire. But, having generators will answer the problem no matter what time of the day.
