When I was in college, I always thought of finishing my course for me to get a good paying job. And, so I did with flying colors. But, I did not land a job that easily. Competition is too high and it seems like there is more graduates than the job vacancies. That’s why I can’t be choosy because I badly need a job especially when my brother has to go back to school. He gave way for me to finish my studies, so I feel responsible to help him.

My fantasy of good paying job was lost. In reality, I am receiving very little and I have to make loans especially during enrollment and exams. Days gone by and without me knowing it I am deep trouble. Debts piled up easily, prices of commodities increased frequently, but my salary remains the same.

Well, I had little hope when my company promotes me to be a manager. But, the situation remains the same. No matter how I tried to budget my salary, I’m still broke at the end of the day. That’s why when my brother finished his studies and was able to get a job. I promised to pay all my debts, and then get out of the company.

That was the time I started my own home based business as a part-time job. Little by little it helped me in my finances. When I already made a strong foundation, I finally resigned from the company and focus on improving my business. Now I am free from the burden of debts. I was able to send my third sibling to college without the need to make a loan. Plus, I can also buy the things I can’t afford before. I’m just happy I made the decision to be my own boss.
